They remain the ultimate property of Sarah Pasch, however, and cannot be packaged, sold, or claimed as creations by another artist. For deviations from these restrictions, please contact Sarah Pasch at millenium2org@yahoo.com. The graphics come in all sizes and shapes - some of them small, some quite large. You'll have to decide for yourself about how big a file you want to use. Other than the four main divisions I've made, the graphics are arranged randomly, with no respect to any main color or size. Kind of like digging in that old trunk in the attic, you just pull something out and keep it if you like it. I've thrown everything in here, even the stuff I don't like - you never know what's going to suit someone else. I'm like everyone else, in that I would truly appreciate a link back to my home page if you use any of my graphics. You can set up that link on your links page, as part of the list, or you can use the code shown at the bottom of this page to display the logo shown there. The URL is http://www.millenium2.org. My thanks in advance. Hope you have as much fun collecting these graphics as we are having in the creation of them. Please check back here every so often, as we will add new graphics as time allows. Since a disclaimer is part of the program in any website, guess I need to say here that I'm not responsible for any eyestrain, coding frustration, overloaded hard drive, or argument between you and your S.O., boss - or your visitors - about what constitues good taste. I accepted the risk in placing them here, and I have to expect that you're willing to accept the risk in taking them. A number of these files have been contributed by students and others, who have taken pride in their creativity. I cannot be certain, however, that there has been no copyright infringement committed in the process of manipulating pixels. If this has occurred, please accept my apology and be assured that the offending file will be removed. All these graphics received the blessing of the creative spirit, and none of them carries a virus, hex or subliminal message. If you experience otherwise, I would be interested in hearing your story. But I didn't do it. Does that cover it? Background TilesandBackground Tiles for TextA feature is included on this site that we haven't seen on most other graphics sites. It will help you decide whether or not you want a tile: Left click on the tile, and you will be taken to a screen which has laid your choice out as a background. Most tiles have a surprising effect when repeated, so be sure and try this out. (It's kind of like that dress that looks like a rag until you put it on and see that it's really quite smashing.) Back up your browser to return to the download screen. Downloading: For PC users, right click on your choices and save to your hard drive. A lot of these graphics are pretty wild - or at least distracting. I'd suggest if you use one on a page that has text on it, that you set up a table with bgcolor="#(color hex number)" for the column in which the text will appear. This will give a nice effect but won't drive your visitors away because they can't read the print. (See example.) Margin BackgroundsLeft click on the presentation graphic to take you to a page where the piece shows up full-size, and then (for PC users) right click on the full-sized one and save to your hard drive. Margin backgrounds require the faithful use of tables so that text won't be running into the margin. I've noted the width of each margin, next to the sample. The leftmost column in your table needs to be set for this width (or a little bigger) with the intent that it will contain nothing. Some browsers will collapse an empty column, though, which will mess up your settings. So you need to put something in that column. A one pixel transparent .gif works nicely, and even though the graphic is actually width="1" height="1", you can set it in your table as, for instance: <img src="transp.gif" width="120" height="5" border="0"> and the browser will stretch that one pixel to fill the column with an invisible graphic. A height setting of "5" is enough for just about anything - may not even be necessary, but I set mine higher than "1" just because. If you don't know how to make a one-pixel transparent .gif, email me, and I'll be happy to send you mine. SuitesSuites (pronounced "sweets," not "suits") - margin backgrounds with buttons/bars/signs. Some suites have an extensive collection of "appliances," and some just a few. Left click on the presentation graphic to take you to a page where the pieces are full-size and separated, and then (for PC users) right click on each piece and save to your hard drive. Help yourself to all the pieces, or just one or two, as you wish. No intent to snub Mac users here, but you guys surely know better how to download these graphics than I do. Besides, considering your Mac to be the Porsche of graphics creation is a tradition - and I think you are more likely to be snubbing my graphics. One last caution: Please be sure to copy the graphics that you want to your own server/hard drive, as I'm a compulsive reorganizer, and you're bound to end up empty-handed if you simply link to me. Not to mention that if you commit such a dastardly deed, the Free Graphics Gremlin will slither into your house in the middle of the night, defrost all your frozen food, reprogram your cell phone and hide your underwear. He'll also submit your email address to the Spam Spectre who will clog your mailbox with mountains of trash for the next sixteen years. So do save yourself those headaches. Enjoy your stay - and plan to come back and pick up what's new. |
| In exchange for helping yourself
to all the free web graphics that you want, it would be greatly appreciated if you would place the
following code somewhere on your website. This code will display the logo on the
right (which is sized width="94" height="90"). <a href="http://www.millenium2.org"><img src="http://www.millenium2.org/smol/grafasm/smlogo04.gif" width="94 " height="90" border="0 " alt="millenium2.org - Home of Super Blue Green Algae & Free Web Graphics"></a> |
